Design of a New Temperature Compensating System for High Power Circulator of EAST LHCD System

Abstract
The existing temperature compensating unit (TCU) of high-power circulator of EAST LHCD system has some disadvantages, such as unstable operation, high price, complex structure and difficult installation. These disadvantages will affect the performance of circulator in high-power mode, and then affect the stable operation of LHCD system. To solve these problems, this paper designs a new temperature compensating system (TCS). The new TCS takes STM32 as the main controller, and designs hardware circuits such as multi-channel temperature acquisition circuit, RS485 communication circuit and network communication circuit. At the same time, the upper computer monitoring program is developed to realize the functions of working state monitoring, real-time data display and operation data storage of physical device. The experimental results show that the new TCS can effectively maintain the performance of the circulator and provide guarantee for the high-power and stable operation of EAST LHCD system.
