Yong Sheng Khoo received the Ph.D. degree from Graduate School for Integrative Science and Engineering, National University of Singapore, Singapore, in 2013. He is currently the Head of PV Module Development Group and Building-integrated PV (BIPV) Innovations Team, SERIS. Working on PV since 2010, his research work covered important areas of PV, such as investigating outdoor performance of different module technologies, modeling of optimal PV module orientation, and the tilt angle for maximizing energy collection, development of novel optical characterization techniques for PV modules, and optimizing the performance of PV modules for tropical conditions. His current research interests include study of module potential induced degradation, advanced module characterization, and building-integrated PV modules. He is lead- and co-principal investigator of multiple public grants including the Solar CRP-01 “Cost-effective high-power density BIPV modules”.
