Yiling Xu

Yiling Xu (Member, IEEE) received the B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. degrees from the University of Electronic Science and Technology of China, in 1999, 2001, and 2004, respectively. From 2004 to 2013, she was a Senior Engineer with the Multimedia Communication Research Institute, Samsung Electronics Inc., South Korea. She joined Shanghai Jiaotong University (SJTU) and she is now a Professor in the areas of multimedia communication, 3D point cloud compression and assessment, system design and network optimization. She is an Associate Editor of the IEEE Transactions on Broadcasting. She is also an active member in standards organizations including MPEG, 3GPP, AVS.
