We investigate the molecular mechanisms of fungal pathogenesis, microbial development, targeted antifungal drug delivery, and vaccination (e.g. mRNA-LNP vaccines). We primarily use two diverged human fungal pathogens in our investigation: Cryptococcus neoformans and Aspergillus fumigatus (see images below). We seek to advance our knowledge about eukaryotic microbiology and identify better approaches for the management of fungal diseases.
