I'm working on a novel Drift Tube system in Ion Mobility Spectrometry. Beside the experiment, I'm also interested in the flow simulation and Ion trajectory simulation. In the novel DT system, we applied a linearly decreasing electric filed to constrain the ions in axial direction and applied a pulsing high electric field to improve the resolution to over 250. In the simulation, we used Solidworks for the flow simulation and Simion for ion trajectory study in the model of Funnel and DT etc.
