Dr. Bobo’s clinical and research interests are focused on the clinical management of difficult-to-treat depression and its correlates—including perinatal depression, perimenopausal depression, and occupational burnout—using randomized, observational, and asynchronous study designs. Dr. Bobo’s current interests also lie in the integration of machine learning and digital health tools with standard clinical and research measures to improve the lives of patients struggling with major affective syndromes or symptoms. He has written more than 200 empirical and review papers, books, and book chapters and has had continuous grant funding since 2006 from the National Institutes of Health, AHRQ, the National Science Foundation, and other sources.
