Waleed Hamimy

Waleed I Hamimy is currently a professor in the department of Anaesthesia, Surgical Intensive Care and Pain Management, Faculty of Medicine, Cairo University. He started his Career in Anaesthesia since 1988, at Kasr AlAini Hospital, Faculty of Medicine, Cairo University. He is the head of the surgical Intensive Care of the Emergency Department, Kasr AlAini Hospital, Cairo University. He is a member of the Egyptian society of Anaesthesiologists, Egyptian society of enteral and parenteral nutrition, Egyptan society of regional anesthesia and pain management and the Egyptian society of Pain management. He is also a board Member in the Egyptian society of enteral and parenteral nutrition and the Egyptian Regional Anaesthesia and Pain management society. He is also the former head of the research committee of the department of anesthesia, surgical intensive care and pain management department, faculty of Medicine, Cairo university. He was the editor-in-chief of the Egyptian Journal of Anaesthesia from 2006 till 2016. His subspecialties in anesthesia include Bariatric surgery, Obstetrics, and Plastic surgery in addition to ICU ventilation.
