Vellaikumar Sampathrajan currently works at the Department of Plant Biotechnology, Centre for Molecular Biology & Biotechnology, TNAU, Coimbatore. Vellaikumar does research in Analytical chemistry, Biochemistry and Biotechnology of Crop viz., Rice, Maize and Millets. Their current project is 'Enrichment of nutritional quality in maize through molecular breeding' and Phosphorus use efficiency in Rice.
