Umanath Kamath

Umanath Kamath received the B.E. degree in electronics and communication from the M. S. Ramaiah Institute of Technology, Bengaluru, India, in 2009, and the M.Sc. degree in microelectronics from the Delft University of Technology, Delft, The Netherlands, in 2012. He is currently pursuing the part-time Ph.D. degree with University College Dublin, Dublin, Ireland, under the supervision of Prof. B. Staszewski with a focus on the design of digitally assisted mixed-signal circuits. From 2009 to 2010, he was an Application Engineer with Cypress Semiconductors, Bengaluru, working on programmable system-on-chip based systems. He held internship positions with Honeywell Labs, Bengaluru, working on embedded systems, CMOSIS NV, Antwerp, Belgium, working on power regulator for image sensors, and IMEC, Leuven, Belgium, working on photodiode readout circuitry for biomedical application. From 2012 to 2015, he was with Cypress Semiconductors, Cork, Ireland, where he designed analog circuits for capacitive touch sensors. Since 2015, he has been a Senior Design Engineer with Xilinx, Dublin, where he is involved in the design of voltage references and temperature sensors. Mr. Kamath was a recipient of the Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana Fellowship in 2007, the Honeywell Innovator Scholar Award in 2008, the Delft University Scholarship in 2010, and the Erasmus Mundus Scholarship in 2012.
