24 years in scientific research and technical leadership roles at Defence R&D; specializes in radar signal and image processing, time-frequency analysis, inverse synthetic aperture radar, synthetic aperture radar, high-frequency surface-wave radar, noise radar technologies, phase array radar, detection and tracking, high-resolution radar signatures, micro-Doppler, concealed weapon detection, atmospheric dynamics, atmospheric winds and waves, project management, program coordination, team leadership, multi-disciplinary projects, reviewing and evaluating, mentoring and guidance, quantitative and qualitative analysis, data analysis and exploitation, optimization, and decision processes;
• Actively engaged in editorial boards, awards committees, reviews, evaluations, seminars, and major defence studies and reports;
• Demonstrated and sustained multi-year record in engaging and collaborating with academia, industry, government, and allied partners on a national and international stage;
• Initiated, led and managed several joint successful Defence R&D Canada, academia, government, industry and allied partners' funding programs;
• Elected as a Fellow of the IET (Institute of Engineering & Technology);
• Adjunct Professor in the Electrical and Computer Department at McMaster University;
• Received IET Premium Award for Signal Processing for the best paper published in 2009-2010;
