谭斌是南方科技大学终身教授，化学系副主任、博士生导师。课题组成立以来，在轴手性化学、不对称多组分反应、自由基化学以及协同催化领域发表80多篇高水平研究论文，其中包括1篇Science，3篇Nature Chemistry，3篇Nature Catalysis，7篇Journal of the American Chemical Society，16篇Angewandte Chemie International Edition，8篇Nature Communication及3篇Chem。共发表学术论文110篇，总引用次数9000余次，单篇最高引用700余次，H-index为53。相关研究成果多次被Science、Angewandte Chemie International Edition、C&E News、Synfacts、ChemistryViews和国家自然科学基金委官方网站等作为亮点评述。由于在不对称轴手性化学领域的系统性研究成果，先后受邀在Accounts of Chemical Research撰写个人研究报告2篇以及在Chemical Reviews上撰写综述文章1篇；主编Wiley-VCH出版书籍：“Axially Chiral Compounds: Asymmetric Synthesis and Applications”。研究成果推动了不对称有机催化的发展，受Nature Communication杂志社邀请为纪念创刊10周年撰写评论与展望文章“Advances in asymmetric organocatalysis over the last 10 years”。2018年获国家杰出青年科学基金资助，2019年入选国家万人计划中青年科技创新领军人才，2020年获广东省自然科学一等奖，2023年获“Mrs. Sun Chan Memorial Award in Organic Chemistry”。多次受邀在国内外重要会议上做大会或特邀报告，2016、2017连续两年获“Asian Core Program Lectureship Award”；2019年获日本化学会“The Distinguished Lectureship Award”和亚洲化学联合会“Asian Rising Stars Lectureship Award”；2020年获药明康德生命化学研究奖。目前担任广东省化学会青年委员会主任，中国化学Chinese Journal of Chemistry副主编，Chem Catalysis顾问编委。
