Stephen Tisch

Stephen Tisch received the M.D. degree from the University of Tasmania, Tasmania, Australia, in 1994. He trained in neurology at St. Vincent's Hospital, Sydney, Australia and at the Mayo Clinic, Rochester, MN, and was admitted as a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians in 2002. Since then he has worked as a Clinical Research Fellow in the Institute of Neurology, University College London, Queen Square, U.K., working in the area of DBS for movement disorders. He received a Brain Research Trust Ph.D. studentship in 2003 to support Ph.D. studies in the area of DBS for dystonia, of which the present paper forms part. He is continuing research into the physiology of DBS for dystonia funded by an Action Medical Research U.K.
