A research scientist at IBM T.J. Watson Research Center, Yorktown Heights, NY, his research interests include static and dynamic program analysis, programming language implementation techniques, and parallel and scientific computation. He is currently working on the Liquid Metal project, a general purpose language designed for heterogeneous systems which mix CPUs, GPUs, and FPGAs. He previously worked on Jikes RVM (Research Virtual Machine) which provides a flexible open testbed to prototype virtual machine technologies and experiment with a large variety of design alternatives. He is one of the primary developers and maintainers of the T. J. Watson Libraries for Analysis, aka WALA.
