Sônia Lansky

She holds a medical degree from the Federal University of Minas Gerais (1986), a master's degree in Public Health from the Federal University of Minas Gerais (2001) and a PhD in Public Health from the Federal University of Minas Gerais (2006); postdoctoral degree from ENSP / Fiocruz (2010). She worked as a consultant for the Ministry of Health (2000 to 2016), was regional coordinator of the Nascer in Brazil Research at the National School of Public Health - Fiocruz. She is a researcher at GPEAS-Group of Researches in Epidemiology and Health Assessment, FM / UFMG. and collaborating professor of the Postgraduate in Health Promotion and Prevention of Violence of the Faculty of Medicine UFMG. She is a doctor of the City Hall of Belo Horizonte, where she coordinated the Child Health Department from 199 to 2008 and the Maternal, Fetal and Infant Deaths Committee and the Perinatal Commission from 1999 to 2016. She has experience in Medicine, with emphasis in Pediatrics and Epidemiology, working mainly on the following topics: perinatal mortality, infant and maternal mortality, health services evaluation and perinatal care.
