Snehamoy Chatterjee received the B.S. and M.S. degrees in engineering in mining engineering from Bengal Engineering and Science University, Howrah, India, in 2000 and 2002, respectively, and the Ph.D. degree in mining engineering from IIT Kharagpur, Kharagpur, India, in 2007. He is currently an Assistant Professor with the Department of Geological and Mining Engineering and Sciences, Michigan Technological University, Houghton, MI, USA. His research interests include mine planning and design, geostatistics and mineral resource estimation, system engineering, reliability and safety engineering, and blasting and fragmentation.
