Sira is an associate professor in the areas of AI and deep learning for pervasive computing, Internet of Things, human-centered computing (especially human activity recognition), wireless sensing, and mobile/edge computing in intelligent environments (e.g., smart cities/homes, transportation, and healthcare). He is an editorial board member of Frontiers in the Internet of Things and the Journal of Smart Cities and Society. He has been serving on a program committee of CORE-A conferences, including the European Conference on Artificial Intelligence (ECAI), the IEEE International Conference on Web Services (ICWS), and the International Conference on Service-Oriented Computing (ICSOC).
