Basilio Sierra received the B.Sc. degree in computer science, the M.Sc. degree in computer science and architecture, and the Ph.D. degree in computer science at the University of the Basque Country, Donostia, Spain, in 1990, 1992, and 2000, respectively. He is a Full Professor with the Computer Sciences and Artificial Intelligence Department, University of the Basque Country. He is the Director of the Robotics and Autonomous Systems Group, Donostia-San Sebastian. He is currently a Researcher in the fields of robotics, computer vision, and machine learning, and he is working on the development of different paradigms to improve classification behaviors; he has written more than 25 journal articles in those fields, as well as more than 100 conference contributions and more than 30 book chapters.
