Dr. Shun-Wei Liu is currently a distinguished professor of the Department of Electronic Engineering, Ming Chi University of Technology (MCUT), as well as the director of the organic electronics research center in MCUT. His current research interests are in the area of understanding the fundamental physics of organic materials and their relevance in novel optoelectronic devices, i.e., organic NIR imagers, transparent photovoltaics, medical OLED lighting, and ultra-thin/flexible electronics. Until now, Dr. S. -W. Liu has published over 150 international journal papers. In the last ten years, Liu’s group got $300,000 US dollars from his display or sensing concept by transfer to the company. According to these research performances, he also won a "Ta-Yao Wu Memorial Award," "Award for Excellent Contribution in Technology Transfer," and "Outstanding Young Researcher Award (Taiwan Photonics Society)" in Taiwan (2018).
