Zhang, Shu

Shu Zhang was born in China in 1984. She received the B.S. degree in material science and engineering and the M.S. degree in material processing from the Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics, Nanjing, China, in 2005 and 2008, respectively. She joined Trina Solar Energy, Co., Ltd., Changzhou, China, in 2008, where she works as a Senior Engineer with the R&D Department. Since 2010, she has been a Member of the State Key Laboratory of PV Science and Technology, Trina Solar, where she manages the Advanced Module Technology group. Her research interests include building integrated photovoltaics (PV), theoretical analysis of power loss from the solar cell to the PV module, the electrics of the PV Module, the optics of the PV module, advanced cell assembling processes, light-trapping material, laser cutting processes for solar cells, cell/module matching technology, as well as related industrial technology development. She holds five authorized invention patents and more than 20 other patents.
