Shouyu Wang was born in Hebei, China, in 1976. He received the B.S. degree in materials science and engineering from Nanchang Institute of Aviation Technology, Nanchang, China, the M.S. degree in materials science and engineering from Guangxi University, Nanning, China, and the Ph.D. degree in condensed matter physics from the Chinese Academy of Science, Beijing, China, in 2005. Since October 2005, as a Research Fellow of the Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS), he joined the Novel Electron Devices Group, Nanoelectrics Research Institute, National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology (AIST), Tsukuba, Japan, and has been engaged in a research project on ferroelectric field-effect transistors. His research interests also include the synthesis of ferroelectric and dielectric thin films and investigation on the physical properties of thin films and related devices.
