Her main research interests are exploring the intervention effects and mechanisms of medicinal and food plants on alcoholic liver disease and metabolic diseases such as obesity, diabetes, and non-alcoholic fatty liver diseases, especially focusing on the regulation of immunity and intestinal flora in metabolic diseases. She has published papers on international peer-review journals such as Clinical and Translational Medicine, Comprehensive Reviews in Food Science and Food Safety, Frontiers in Immunology, Oxidative Medicine and Cellular Longevity, and Food & Function, of which 2 were selected as the top 1% highly cited papers in ESI. The total number of citations of the paper exceeds 6000, and the individual H-index is 40. She was awarded as Highly Cited Researcher 2021 by Clarivate.
