Bio
Our group is interested in the development of new tandem/domino reactions for the synthesis of polysubstituted N-Heterocycles found in many biologically relevant compounds. For that purpose, we have employed N-substituted α-bromoacetamides together with Michael acceptors as key partners. The aza-Michael induced ring closure (aza-MIRC) tandem process is usually highly diastereoselective and led to the formation of versatile pyrrolidin-2-ones or pyrrolidines, respectively.
