Bio
I am working as a Staff Scientist at the Department of Radiology, Washington University School of Medicine, Saint Louis. My research always focuses on using biophysical models and engineering tools either to improve existing methods or to provide new methods for the applications of theranostics. Currently, my work focuses on identification of neurodegeneration related to early Alzheimer’s disease using quantitative MRI methods. We developed two types of noninvasive in-vivo MRI imaging biomarkers: one is Dark matter fraction (represents the loss of neuronal cells) and second one is the viable tissue volume (represents the tissue with endogenous neuronal cells). These imaging biomarkers are attributed to evaluating the neurodegeneration in early Alzheimer’s disease which helps to provide a window for plausible intervention.
