Sasikumar Ponnusamy

I did my bachelor of sciences in biochemistry at St. Joseph College at Cuddalore. then I completed my master degree in biochemistry at Srimad Andavan College and M.Phil at Madurai Kamaraj University. I have completed Ph.D in Biochemistry discipline in Madurai Kamaraj University, Madurai, India. My research work deals with the use of designer probiotics for the treatment of nephrolithiasis. Currently pursuing Postdoctoral research at University at Buffalo, NY, USA. I have research experience in Recombinant DNA technology: Isolation of Genomic DNA from Gram negative and gram positive bacteria, Plasmid DNA isolation from Gram +ve and -ve bacteria, PCR, Cloning by PCR, Restriction analysis,Ligation,Transformation-Cacl2 methods and Electroporation methods, screening of clone, Expression of Heterologous gene in gram negative and gram positive bacteria. Purification of recombinant protein by FPLC, Chromotography:paper and thinlayer also experienced in animal handling, I have published ten research article in international journal.
