Samir M. Iqbal

Samir M. Iqbal was born in Bahrain in 1972. He received the bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from the NED University of Engineering and Technology, Karachi, Pakistan, in 1997, and the Ph.D. degree from the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering, Purdue University, West Lafayette, IN, USA, in 2007. He is currently a Professor with the Electrical Engineering Department and holds a joint appointment with the School of Medicine, UTRGV, Edinburg, TX, USA. He was a Faculty Member and the Presidential Research Fellow at UT-Arlington before he joined UTRGV as the Department Chair.
