Saad Shaaban

Saad Shaaban was born in Mansoura, Egypt, in 1981. He studied chemistry at Mansoura University and he received his MSc from the same university in 2006. He obtained his PhD degree in 2011 from the Bioorganic Chemistry Department, School of Pharmacy, Saarland University, Germany with a very good grade. He has served as a postdoctoral researcher at Drug Design group of Professor Alexander Doemling, School of Pharmacy, Groningen University, The Netherlands and at Bioorganic Chemistry group of Professor Ludger Wessjohann, Leibniz Institute of Plant Biochemistry, Halle, Germany. Now he is a postdoctoral researcher at Laboratoire de Bio-PeroxI, Université de Bourgogne, Faculté des Sciences Gabriel 6, boulevard Gabriel-F21000 Dijon, France. His research interest lies at the interface of organic chemistry and biology with a special focus on structure-based-drug-design.
