Shivanthan Shanthikumar

Shivanthan Shanthikumar currently works at the Department of Respiratory Medicine, The Royal Children's Hospital. Shivanthan does research in Paediatric Respiratory Medicine. He recently completed his clinical training in this area. His current research areas are; Cystic Fibrosis (in particular identifying biomarkers which predict future lung severity), Flow Cytometry Based Immunophenotyping of Bronchoalveolar Lavage, DNA Methylation and relationship with lung diseases, Molecular Diagnostic Testing in Empyema, Interventional Bronchoscopy in Children, Respiratory Complications of Childhood Cancer, and Leveraging Electronic Medical Records to facilitate quality improvement in clinical care
