Rune Hansen

Rune Hansen was born in Horten, Norway, in 1974. He received the M.Sc. degree from the Department of Mechanics, Thermodynamics, and Fluid Mechanics, Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU), Trondheim, Norway, in 1998, and the Ph.D. degree from the Department of Engineering Cybernetics, NTNU, in 2004. He is currently employed as a Senior Research Scientist at the Department of Medical Technology, SINTEF Digital, Trondheim. He has a part-time position as a Researcher at the Department of Circulation and Medical Imaging, NTNU. His research interests are diagnostic and therapeutic applications of ultrasound with a special focus on nonlinear acoustics and ultrasound contrast agents.
