Pascal Rochat; CEO & CTO of SpectraTime started his career as a researcher at the Institute of Microtechnique of the University of Neuchâtel, before joining Oscilloquartz in 1980 as the head of the R&D department. In 1988, he left Oscilloquartz to join the American company Scientific Development Inc, where he worked on developing positioning systems then developing Mixed Asics fully automated testing equipment until 1991 when he joined the Observatory of Neuchâtel as a technical director. At the Observatory, he launched the Rubidium and active maser projects. The success of these atomic clock activities led to the creation of SpectraTime (formerly Temex Neuchâtel Time SA) in 1995. Pascal holds several patents on Rubidium & Masers and is the principal designer of Rubidium clocks for the Galileo project. Today he is chairman of the recently created active Masers producer T4SCIENCE Inc, member of the Swiss Federal Commission for Space Affairs, and Chairman of the Swiss Space Technology Policy Committee.
