Unbiased Discovery of DNA binding proteins (Identification of DNA Associated Proteins: IDAP). IDAP allows discovery of proteins that bind any DNA element-of-interest such as a specific DNA sequence (promoters, enhancers….;) or a DNA modification (methylation or other epigenetic marks, oxidative lesions, adducts formed by carcinogens) or DNA structure (strand breaks, G4, tri-nt repeats, catenanes). Proteins bound to any DNA element-of-interest thus isolated and identified by MS.
