Rowan Sutton is an NCAS Senior Scientist based at the University of Reading. His research interests focus on ocean-atmosphere interaction, climate variability and change, predictabilty, prediction and risk assessment. His roles include: Chair of the Met Office Hadley Science Review Group; Co-chair of the WCRP Lighthouse Activity on Explaining and Predicting Earth System Change; member of the scientific steering committee of the UK Climate Resilience Programme. He was a Lead Author of the Working Group I contribution to the 5th Assessment Report of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change.
