His current research interests include optimal study design for the RERF study of the genetics effects of radiation in offspring of atomic bomb survivors, understanding the relationship between cancer incidence and cancer mortality dose response in the context of contemporary treatment for cancer, and flexible modelling of the radiation dose response in the low dose range.
