Rudiger Quay

Rüdiger Quay (Senior Member, IEEE) received the Diploma degree in physics from Rheinisch-Westfälische Technische Hochschule (RWTH), Aachen, Germany, in 1997, the Doctoral degree (with Hons.) in technical sciences from the Technische Universität Wien, Vienna, Austria, in 2001, the second Diploma degree in economics from Fernuniversität Hagen, Hagen, Germany, in 2003, and the Venia Legendi (Habilitation) in microelectronics from the Technische Universität Wien, Vienna, Austria, in 2009. In 2001, he joined the Fraunhofer Institute of Applied Solid-State Physics Freiburg (Fraunhofer IAF), Freiburg im Breisgau, Germany, in various positions. He is currently the Director of Fraunhofer IAF. Since 2020, he is also a Fritz-Hüttinger Professor with the Department for Sustainable Systems Engineering (INATECH), Albert-Ludwig University, Freiburg, Germany. He has authored and coauthored more than 370 refereed publications, three monographs, and contributions to two further.
