Bio
Rob is a Senior Research Fellow (School of Photovoltaic and Renewable Energy Engineering (SPREE), University of New South Wales (UNSW)), Senior Consultant at ITP Renewables, and Policy Analyst and Treasurer at the Australian PV Institute (APVI). At UNSW he has authored 28 journal papers, 41 conference papers, 16 research reports and 2 book chapters; and at ITP he has authored 63 consultancy reports. In his current positions Rob is responsible for a mix of policy and regulatory analysis, technical assessments, report writing, business development and project management. He focuses on policy research, particularly renewable energy, distributed generation, electric vehicles, energy efficiency and energy markets. Specific interests include: mechanisms to reduce greenhouse emissions, increase uptake of low emission technologies and improve energy efficiency; the design of electricity tariffs and other incentives; distributed generation and its integration into electricity networks, including smart grids; electric vehicles and their impact on electricity networks; technical assessments of low emissions technologies; and the characteristics of end-user decision-making relevant to uptake of distributed energy.
