He has more than 25 years’ experience across the breadth of medical and molecular genetics, past President of the British Society of Human Genetics (2005-7). H-Index of 81, reflecting research that has been supported through programme support from the Medical Research Council (MRC), British Heart Foundation and the Wellcome Trust, (WT). His commitment to training is underpinned through terms as Deputy Chair and member respectively of the WT and MRC Clinical Training panels. Elected to the Fellowship of the Academy of Medical Sciences in 2003.
