Fu Qiang

Dr. Qiang Fu received his Ph.D degree in pharmacognosy from Peking University in 2010. After working as a post-doctor in Peking University for 4 years, he moved to Chengdu University in 2015 and was promoted to Professor in 2022. His researches focus on two aspects: (1) discovery of active components from Traditional Chinese Medicines (TCM) and their mechanism of action; (2) quality control of TCM. He isolates and identify chemical components from TCM using various chromatographic and spectroscopic methods, and investigate their bioactivity and mechanism of action both in vitro and in vivo, aiming to clarify the effective components in TCM and develop innovative drugs. Based on bioactive components, the quality standard of TCM is established using HPLC, GC and other analytical methods to achieve the overall quality control.
