Pradeep Kumar Das Mohapatra received the Ph.D. degree from Vidyasagar University, in 2008. He is currently working as an Assistant Professor with the Department of Microbiology, Vidyasagar University. He has significantly contributed in the field of enzyme biotechnology, environmental, and industrial microbiology. He has worked on microbial nutrition, fermentation, probiotics, tissue engineering, and bioinformatics. He has published more than 41 original research articles in reputed national and international journals, one book chapter, three popular articles, and 55 abstracts. He also attended nine training programmes on microbial research and covered 24 national and international conferences. He has received research funds from UGC, Govt. of India and Biostadt India Ltd. He has received the Junior Scientists of the Year Award, in 2008 and the Environmentalist of the Year Award, in 2009, from NESA, New Delhi. He is nominated as a Fellow of the Society for Applied Biotechnology, in 2011. He is also serving as an Editorial Board Member of two journals and reviewers of many journals of Elsevier, Blackwell, Springer, and Taylor & Francis. He is also associated with many academic and research societies, such as AFB (France), NESA (New Delhi), BRSI (Trivandrum), PBVM (Kolkata), and SAB (Dharward). He is currently acting as the General Secretary of Biotech Research Society of India, Vidyasagar University Unit.
