Prabhash K. Pandey

I have completed my post-graduation and Doctoral program in the Biochemistry subject and currently working as a UGC-Dr. DS Kothari Post Doctoral Fellow in the Department of Biochemistry, University of Allahabad. Previously, I was a DST-SERB National Post Doctoral Fellow in the Division of Toxicology and Experimental Medicine at CSIR-Central Drug Research Institute, Lucknow, UP. I have also worked as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Biochemistry, Jhunjhunwala PG college, Ayodhya, UP. I have published several articles in reputed journals. My research interests are related to Neurotoxicity, Plant Molecular biology, Enzymology and Insect Biochemistry, and Physiology. At present, I am assessing the neurotoxic potential of Anabolic-androgenic steroids (AAS). Due to their anabolic and androgenic attribute, recreational athletes and bodybuilders use AAS in an inappropriate and veiled manner. The indiscriminate use of AAS has become a public health issue and a matter of great concern worldwide. This drug abuse pattern might facilitate the onset or progression of neurodegenerative disorders not usually linked to drug abuse.
