Bio
Pascal Kerschke (Member, IEEE) received the B.Sc. degree in data analysis and management and the M.Sc. degree in data science from TU Dortmund University, Dortmund, Germany, in 2010 and 2013, respectively, and the Ph.D. degree in information systems from the University of Münster, Münster, Germany, in 2017.
During the Ph.D. degree, he worked as a Postdoctoral Fellow with the Data Science: Statistics and Optimization Group, University of Münster. He is a Professor of Big Data Analytics in Transportation with TU Dresden, Dresden, Germany. He is the main Developer of the R-package flacco and coauthored further R-packages, such as smoof and moPLOT. His research interests cover a wide range of topics in the context of benchmarking, data science, machine learning, and optimization—including automated algorithm selection, exploratory landscape analysis, as well as continuous single- and multi-objective optimization.
Dr. Kerschke has co-organized numerous tutorials and workshops in the context of Exploratory Landscape Analysis and/or benchmarking, and is an active member of the Benchmarking Network and the COSEAL Group.
