Onur Afacan received the B.Sc. degree in electrical and computer engineering from Middle East Technical University, Ankara, Turkey, in 2003, the M.Sc. degree in electrical and computer engineering from Bilkent University, Ankara, in 2006, and the Ph.D. degree in electrical and computer engineering from Northeastern University, Boston, USA, in 2011. He was a Research Fellow at the Surgical Planning Laboratory, Brigham and Women’s Hospital, from 2006 to 2011. He is currently an Assistant Professor of radiology with the Harvard Medical School and a Principal Investigator with the Computational Radiology Laboratory, Children’s Hospital Boston. His research interests include MR physics, fast MRI acquisition and reconstruction, MRI motion and distortion artifacts correction, non-cartesian trajectories, and functional MRI.
