Mohd Adib Ibrahim

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mohd Adib Ibrahim is an Associate Professor / Senior Research Fellow at the Solar Energy Research Institute (SERI), Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM). He has joined as a Research Fellow in SERI since 2007. He has 10 years of semiconductors industry experience before joining the education sector. His education background in chemical engineering (B.Eng and MSc) obtained from the Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) and UKM. He also holds a Master in Business Administration (MBA) from UKM. He continued his PhD study in Solar Cell Technology at the University of Southampton, UK. Currently, he is holding a post as Director of SERI since April 2022. His research interests are silicon, quantum dots, and perovskite solar cells; biophotovoltaic cells; catalysis; energy management, and conversion. Currently, Mohd Adib is leading industry research on the lead-free perovskite-silicon tandem solar cell which focuses on the development of perovskite paste synthesis and cell fabrication on the rigid and flexible substrate. He has published many publications in Scopus and WoS with an H-index of 22 and 2046 citations. He’s also actively carried out research and development on new materials related to different types of transparent conductive films and oxides as well as thermoelectric.
