Mohammed A Mustafa

Mohammed A Mustafa currently works at Virginia Commonwealth University. Research interests include cannabinoid pharmacology, behavioral pharmacology, and research of drugs of abuse. Lab skills include behavioral assessment of novel compounds in rodents, including the mouse drug discrimination paradigm, measures of locomotor activity, catalepsy, antinocicpetion, and body temperature. Also proficient in endocannabinoid-lipid extraction from tissue, and transgenic-mouse breeding colony management. Current projects include the behavioral assessment of CB1 receptor allosteric modulators and other novel endocannabinoid regulating compounds.
