个人简介
Prof. Rahimpour leads a research group in fuel processing technology focused on the catalytic conversion of fossil fuels such as natural gas and renewable fuels such as bio-oils derived from lignin to valuable energy sources. He provides young, distinguished scholars with perfect educational opportunities in both experimental methods and theoretical tools in developing countries to investigate in-depth research in the various field of chemical engineering, including new energy technologies, data science, carbon capture, chemical looping, membrane separation, storage and utilization of hydrogen technologies, novel technologies for natural gas conversion and improving the energy efficiency in the production and use of new renewable energies. He has published 513 books, articles, and book chapters with an h-index of 54. He has significant contributions to the profession and discipline of new energy and environmental technologies both internationally and domestically. Prof. Rahimpour developed and delivered high-quality undergraduate and graduate coursework offerings designed for both online platforms and face-to-face activities in renewable energies, transport phenomena, reaction engineering, plasma technology, hydrogen energy, fuel cell, greenhouse gases, mathematics, and data science. He provides expert leadership in research and education, including participating in School and Faculty strategic planning and committees. He is maintaining and broadening collaborative partnerships both internally and externally. Prof. Rahimpour has demonstrated a strong track record in research excellence and research funding success. He demonstrates leadership across research and service and a solid ability to mentor staff and students. He has a proven record of excellence in teaching engineering at undergraduate and postgraduate coursework levels and has proven interpersonal and leadership skills functioning in academic and professional bodies.
