Michael S. Rallo

My research is focused on elucidating mechanisms underlying the CNS response to disease and injury. We utilize genetic reporter and conditional mutant lines to monitor and modify various aspects of the injury response. My research interests are blended with my clinical interests in neurosurgery, particularly cerebrovascular, neurotrauma, and global neurosurgery. Additionally, I contribute my experience as an EMT towards research and practice related to tactical medicine and disaster response.
