He is a professor and division co-director of computational biology with the Translational Genomics Research Institute (TGen), Phoenix, Arizona, where he joined in 2003.
He has been involved, in collaboration with researchers and physicians with TGen, over the last 15 years on a number of pilot projects and clinical trials testing the utility of using the molecular characteristics of a patients tumor to guide the choice of drugs used for cancer therapy.
