Tim Mewes (M'10) received the Ph.D. degree in physics from the TU Kaiserslautern, Germany, in 2002. He is an Associate Professor with the Department of Physics and Astronomy and the Center for Materials for Information Technology, University of Alabama, Tuscaloosa, AL. His current research interests include various aspects of spintronics, particularly magnetization dynamics and relaxation processes. Prof. Mewes is a member of the APS, the AVS, and the DPG.
