He focuses on the direction of physical layer security of optical communication network. He has built up experimental platform for optical secure communication and has been contributing to the field of optical chaos secure communication system since 2016. He won the first prize of the Technology Invention Award of the Chinese Society of Optical Engineering in 2019, the second prize of science and technology progress of Hubei Province (China) in 2021 and 2011, the third prize of technological invention of Jiangxi Province (China) in 2011. Since 2016, he has undertaken seven research projects funded by national and provincial government agencies.
He has published more than 80 papers in peer-reviewed journals, and filed more than 10 domestic patents. He has citation over 800 and H-index 14 (Source: Google Scholar).
He is also an active reviewer for various journals including Light: Science & Applications, Optics Letters, Optics Express, Applied Optics, Journal of Lightwave Technology, Photonics Technology Letters, Photonics Journal, and Optics Communications.
