I have been studying nurses' work environments for almost two decades. Work environment factors of interest to me include nursing leadership, collaborative practice/teamwork, and workload management, especially safe staffing. My goal is to use best evidence to support healthy work environments for nurses, their colleagues, patients and families. I do applied research and use a variety of methods, most recently, realist synthesis and evaluation.
