Leads multidisciplinary, policy-focussed research which combines field studies, descriptive epidemiology and modelling of communicable diseases in the Asia-Pacific region. Areas of interest include spatiotemporal epidemiology, GIS mapping, disease surveillance, pathogen genetics, climate and population movement with a focus on malaria, dengue, novel pathogens and environmental health.

Leads the Health GeoLab Hub at MORU which aims to strengthen and sustain the technical capacity of the health sector in countries in the Asia-Pacific Region in the management and use of geospatial data and technologies through research, technical support and training. Founding member of GroupMappers.
