Matthew James Broadhead

I'm a Post Doctoral Researcher at the University of St Andrews, studying astrocyte - neuron signalling in the spinal cord. I am particularly interested in the bidirectional communication between astrocytes and neurons at tripartite synapses in physiology and disease. I use a range of techniques, specialising in microscopy (live imaging and super-resolution microscopy) but also including electrophysiology and immunohistochemistry.
